Lec (7) # Tenses of verb
^ Past simple such as:-
* I played football yesterday …. ( regular verb)
* He saw Ahmed last night . …….( irregular verb ) .
In case interrogation for example :-
What did you do last week ?
^ past continuous we use (was or were) according to subject turn of verb + ing such as He was watching T.V last week .



^ Present simple

He reads , lives
She +Verb + likes , does
It works , writes


I read
We like
You + Verb ( without (s) ) live
They do
Write

Note :- some verbs need to especially addition like
* (es) for each verb ended with (s ,ch , sh ) such as :-
• pass passes for example :- He passes the ball .
• Punish punishes for example :- Dog punishes his meat .
• Watch watches for examples :- She watches T.V
*( Y ) for each verb convert to ( ies )
* Study Studies for example :- He studies hard
* Try Tries for example :- She tries to play
^ present continuous :- I am doing

I + am

He * eating
She + is *running
It *writing
+ Verb + ing for example :- *doing
*walking
We *going
You + are
They


# - The phone is ringing .
#-He isn’t listening
#-we are having dinner
#- The children doing their homework
• In case question we introduce verb at subject and remain the verb in case (verb + ing ) for example :- Are you playing ?
^ present perfect :-

We
You + Have + past participle ( P.P )
They
He
She + Has + P.P for example :-
It
#- I have finished my homework .
#- She has gone .
• In question case introduce ( have , has ) at subject such as :-
Has she gone ?
Have I finished my homework ?
• There are some word droop at the present perfect such as ( just ,yet already , How long …….etc)
#- Are you hungry ? No , I have just had dinner .
#- what time are Ali and Ahmed coming ? They have already arrived .
#- Are Ali and Ahmed here ? No , They have not arrived yet .
#- How long have they been married ?
They have been married for 5 years .
